Cascades sail past Mariners, sweep midweek set

It was a successful week of games – albeit an abbreviated one – for the University of the Fraser Valley baseball club.
The Cascades swept a doubleheader vs. the Vancouver Island University Mariners on Wednesday, building momentum for a scheduled four-game weekend series vs. the Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs in Lethbridge, Alta. Those games, though, were cancelled due to snow.
The UFV club, nevertheless, sits solidly in third place in the Canadian College Baseball Conference with an 11-8 record.
